Innocent love I have come to know
For the first time in my life
Day by day it grows
Fed by care and hope and sunshine
Joy in my heart
An innocent love sprouts
Not demanding anything in return
No personal gain
No profit
But mutual love
Strengthened by friendship
Innocent love listens in consideration
Holds together the seams of almost broken wings
Almost dead dreams
Almost lost hope
Innocent love nourishes the soul
With laughter and kindness
No envy, no hatred, no tainted emotions
Just pure, white as snow,
Warm as sunshine
